These inputs will be used for users and technical requirements, overall design concept, integration and lab test, field tests and evaluation as well as dissemination/ awareness rising.

The first field test was done during an UNDAC mission to the floods in Pakistan/Aug - Sept 2010. The next real mission in which GEO-PICTURES was tested was in Cyprus 2011, after an explosion in a naval base which costed the whole destruction of the Vasilikos Power Plant. During that mission GEO-PICTURES was using also webmapping and the first time microdrones were used in a disaster management operation. GEO-PICTURES also was tested during the Youth Olympic Games 2012 in Innsbruck/Austria by the police.

At the moment DMAT is preparing the final tests in Styria with all GEO-PICTURES partners and a lot of "blue light " organisations. All the proposed topics of the project will be tested by external partners on 12. Feb 2012.
